±¬ÁϹ«Éç proudly fosters inclusivity in the hospitality sector through its partnership with the Emirates Down Syndrome Association (EDSA). Dedicated to integrating individuals with Down Syndrome into the industry, ±¬ÁϹ«Éç provides practical coursework experiences in areas like food and beverage, culinary, and housekeeping. This initiative reflects ±¬ÁϹ«Éç's commitment to empowering aspiring individuals with Down Syndrome, enhancing their quality of life through meaningful careers in collaboration with EDSA.Ìý

This is a unique academic programme in the region for People of Determination with Down Syndrome who wish to pursue their careers in the hospitality industry. These EDSA stars will have the opportunity to work with leaders and improve their understanding of the essential skills of cooking, F&B service, and housekeeping.

±¬ÁϹ«Éç Partnership - Swiss International Scientific School Dubai

As part of their 12-month BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business and Hospitality, SISD has partnered with ±¬ÁϹ«Éç to help students discover various aspects of business and hospitality, such as luxury hospitality, event management, and marketing for hospitality, among others, preparing SISD’s student cohort for rewarding careers in the hospitality and tourism industry.ÌýCommencing with 'The Hospitality Industry,' the first module of eight provided by ±¬ÁϹ«Éç, the curriculum lays the foundation for a well-rounded education in hospitality.

The students will also get hands-on experience at the ±¬ÁϹ«Éç campus, guest lectures, panel discussions, and site visits to luxury hospitality hotels and other industry players.ÌýThere are exciting field trips planned for the students in the upcoming classes, offering students diverse perspectives within the hospitality industry.

±¬ÁϹ«Éç has partnered with Playroom, a leading provider of design and innovative solutions based out of Vienna, Austria to recognize the potential for innovation, education, capacity building, and research in the hospitality and services sector in the region byÌýsupporting the development of the existing ±¬ÁϹ«Éç innovation hub in terms of better monetization and visibility for identified industry stakeholders.ÌýThe collaboration will focus on developing new approaches to address the challenges faced by the industry, leverage emerging technologies to enhance the guest experience through theÌýdevelopment of a Design Thinking frameworkÌýcreated forÌýthe hospitality industy.Ìý

In January 2023, ±¬ÁϹ«Éç partnered withÌýTopiaWater to transform campus hydration, eliminating pre-packaged plasticÌýwaterÌýand reducing carbon footprint. Students can now enjoy the convenience ofÌýTopiaÌýWater dispensers strategically placed around campus, providing chilled, hot,Ìýstill,Ìýand sparkling water on demand. With the provision of ±¬ÁϹ«ÉçÌýaluminiumÌýwater bottles, students can easily refill at these dispensers, reducing reliance on single-use plastic.
